Dreaming Beyond Boundaries

My name is Alfred, and I’m a 14-year-old boy who loves football and swimming. I live with my mom and two siblings. Since 2008, Ngong Road Children’s Foundation has become my second home. I’m in eighth grade at Statehouse Primary School, and my favorite subjects are maths and English. I also enjoy reading and my favorite book is  ‘The Visitor’ by Dean Kootz.

Going to school means more than just attending classes. It is where I have made playful, kind, and loving friends. We share moments both on and off the football field, which has helped us build a special chemistry that makes them my best friends.

I have big dreams for the future. One of my biggest dreams is to represent my country in football. However, I also aspire to become an engineer. I think engineering is a great career because it offers job stability and satisfaction. It is also exciting to build things and work with electronics.

Ngong Road Children’s Foundation has been transformative for me. I especially have benefitted from using the Elimu Hub as it has equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills in the computer world, and this has enhanced my communication and IQ skills.

Transform a life.

A goal-Oriented student

My name is Eliakim, and I am currently 12 years old. I live with my parents and five siblings. My hobbies are football, video games, and acrobatics. I joined the Ngong Road Children’s Foundation in 2021 and am presently studying at State House Primary School in grade seven.

My favorite subjects are mathematics and English, and during my free time, I enjoy reading novels. “The Time Traveler’s Wife” is my favorite book. I look up to Messi and Ronaldo, inspired by my passion for football. Spending time with my funny, caring, and loving friends is something I cherish.

When I grow up, my dream is to become a pilot and build a house for my mum. At the Elimu Hub, I have the chance to explore computers, play educative games with friends, and learn something new every visit. The Elimu Hub library introduces me to new and interesting books.

Join us in supporting and transforming bright and talented children’s lives like Eliakim’s through the Ngong Road Children’s Foundation. Your contribution can make a real difference in providing education, mentorship, and a brighter future for these children. Together, we can help them achieve their dreams and build a better tomorrow.

Sales Mastery with Miss Amran Abdi

On January 12th, a sales guide and training session was conducted by Miss Amran Abdi, an expert in school consultation and an entrepreneur. The training started with an introduction from the alumni team present and kicked off with a powerful quote: “Everything is Everything”, a business concept that emphasizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of a company. It’s like a harmonious orchestration where each department, decision, and action functions like musical notes contributing to the success and flow of the business.

 Sales Mastery Training

The main aim of this training session was to teach attendees how to sell anything to anyone. The training covered various aspects of business, including knowledge of the product, evaluation, the importance of a call to action, effective communication techniques, the power of listening, the impacts of telling a selling story, understanding client needs, aligning with the client’s objectives, and building trust and rapport.

The attendees also learned the benefits of seeking feedback and the power of testimonials. Miss Amran offered our alumni an opportunity to work as sales agents for her new school consultation firm. She promised to continue educating them on business innovation and how to go about it.

The session ended with two powerful quotes: “Innovate or die” – by constantly exploring new ideas, technologies, and processes, businesses can remain competitive, attract new customers, and retain existing ones. And “Some will, some won’t, so what next?” – the key is to focus on interested people and find ways to connect with them. It is important to understand that not everyone will be your target audience, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. Instead, you should keep looking for ways to reach those interested and find creative ways to engage with them.

The sales mastery was not just a training session but a transformative experience that left our alumni with a new perspective on the art of selling a business. We are continually ensuring that we equip our alumni with skills that will help them in their personal and professional journeys of transformation.

Edmond’s Creative Venture

Meet Edmond, a student at Africa Nazarene University studying Mass Communication and who is about to graduate. He is the force behind Best Ed Creative Hub, a project that combines his creativity and business skills. Even though he is busy with his studies, Edmond is a modern creative thinker. He is good at understanding how communication works and is passionate about coming up with new ideas. He manages his academic and business responsibilities with skill and purpose.

Outside of classes and books, Edmond gets inspired by reading interesting novels and watching movies. He loves rap music for its clever lyrics and raw expression, and this inspiration shows in the lively and energetic work he does at Best Ed Creative Hub. Edmond also loves to explore new places. He enjoys traveling to different cultures and landscapes, and these adventures fuel his imagination, influencing the projects he works on at Best Ed Creative Hub.

Best Ed Creative Hub is Edmond’s passion project. What started as an idea in college has become a thriving space for creative people. Edmond leads the hub, creating an environment where imagination can grow, and different ideas come together. He is not only focused on his success; he is dedicated to helping other talented people too. He offers mentorship programs and resources to guide and inspire new visionaries. Best Ed Creative Hub is not just a business; it’s a symbol of Edmond’s commitment to building a community of creative minds.

As he gets ready to graduate, Edmond’s journey as an entrepreneur is just beginning. His goal for Best Ed Creative Hub goes beyond borders, aiming to make a lasting impact on the creative world. Edmond is the perfect example of someone who brings together education, creativity, and business. With a heart full of passion and a mind full of ideas, he’s ready to change how we see creative businesses.

Transform a life.

An Aspirational Journey to Legal Advocacy

Legal Advocacy

My name is Jennifer and I’m a 19-year-old with big dreams and a passion for helping others.  I have been a part of the Ngong Road Children’s Foundation since 2010 and I currently live with my aunt. In my free time, I love to read novels, play netball, and try out new recipes.

I’ve always had a deep desire to help others, so I want to pursue a career in law and criminology. I want to work on cases that are often ignored and gain more insight into solving puzzling cases. Being able to complete my high school education at Ruthimitu Girls High School last year was a great joy for me, and I am looking forward to joining a reputable University this year and starting my law course.

In my free time, I regularly visit the children’s home where I volunteer and help out. I also love attending the Saturday program and volunteering. My years in school have taught me valuable skills such as problem-solving, effective communication, and decision-making, which I intend to practice in my future career.

In a few years, I see myself as a respected figure in the community, working as a lawyer to help those in need. I strongly believe that my unwavering determination and kind heart will positively impact the lives of many. I am grateful to my sponsor and the NRCF fraternity for making it possible for me to get to these academic heights.

Transform a life today.
