Braton’s Life Transformed Through the Support of Our Program

Meet Braton, a young life transformed through the support of our program. He started as a quiet child full of potential. Today, he is growing into a determined young man with even bigger dreams.

Braton’s journey from completing primary school to joining high school has been filled with strength and perseverance. And throughout it all, we’ve had the honor of walking beside him every step of the way.

Life Transformed Through the Support of Our Program

Braton dreams of becoming a lawyer. This goal shines through his love for debate. At school, he is a confident speaker and a top performer in debate competitions. But Braton’s talents don’t stop there. He is also passionate about music. He takes part in school music festivals and recently helped his team reach the regional level. His specialty being A cappella  where his voice truly stands out.

Braton’s success story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a child’s potential is met with the right support. Watching him grow has been a joy and an inspiration. As he continues to rise, we remain committed to walking alongside many more children like him nurturing dreams and transforming their lives through consistent support.

Nonprofits helping children in Kenya.

2025 Impact Report: How Your Donations Changed Lives This Year.

Nonprofits helping children in Kenya are transforming lives of vulnerable children. Most children living in Kenyan slums lack access to quality education, healthcare and basic necessities. Through community-driven initiatives and dedicated support, the organizations are giving children the tools they need to build a more hopeful future. By providing these essential resources and opportunities, they are breaking the cycle of poverty one child at a time.

As the holiday season approaches, year-end giving Kenya campaigns play a vital role in sustaining these life-changing programs. In particular, donations made at the end of the year help nonprofits plan for the upcoming months, expand their reach, and ensure that more children receive the support they need. Whether it’s funding a classroom, supplying school meals, or covering medical care, every contribution makes a lasting impact.

Success Stories From Nonprofits Helping Children In Kenya.

At NRCF, we have been able to support over 200 students with quality education, daily meals, healthcare, and dedicated life skills training this year. Thanks to your generosity , we have made incredible difference in the lives of hundreds of children. During the holiday season, we organized sessions in our computer labs to equip the children with computer literacy skills. This initiative is to ensure they are conversant with today’s fast-paced digital world. In addition, we had SRH programs , aimed at educating them about their reproductive health. As a result, the children are one a step closer to breaking the cycle of poverty. Your support didn’t just fund programs, it sparked hope and built a stronger foundation for the future of Kenya’s children.

nonprofits helping children in Kenya

In conclusion, nonprofits helping children in Kenya like, Ngong Road Children’s Foundation, are creating real, lasting change . The support of generous donors continues to open doors for vulnerable children, giving them the chance to break free from poverty and build brighter futures. As we look ahead, your continued involvement especially through year-end giving will ensure that even more children have the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can keep the momentum going and make an even greater impact in the years to come.

Give the Gift of Education this Holiday!

Honor someone with a unique gift

Gift of education

We know that shopping and trying to find the right gift is hard. We invite you to give a gift that is meaningful and makes a difference in the life of a child.

With education and support from Friends of Ngong Road, our students have the opportunity to attend school, develop strong life skills, and secure employment. They transform their lives and uplift their family and community. They are often able to leave the slums and, in most cases, help others in their family. Education not only transforms a life but also ends the cycle of poverty for generations.

This holiday season, consider giving the gift of education.

Donate to our annual appeal in honor of someone on your holiday list and we will send them a card acknowledging your gift.

Give the gift of a sponsorship. Transform the life of an individual student through the ongoing support of their school tuition and fees. You provide the funds, and your loved one develops a relationship with a student in Kenya. This is a great gift for a child or grandchild so that they learn what life is like for kids similar in age in Kenya. To gift a sponsorship this holiday season, email naomi@ngongroad.org or call 612-568-4211.

A sponsor’s recent trip to Nairobi

A unique element of our program is that it allows for sponsors to have a one on one relationship with their student, often sparking a special bond between them. This bond grows even stronger when sponsors have the opportunity to meet their students. We always encourage sponsors to take this life changing trip to meet their sponsored student and get a glimpse of how they are helping their student transform their life. One sponsor, Brittany, and her daughter Amina took a trip to meet their sponsored student Crystal.

Their experience:

sponsor a student in Kenya

Our recent trip to Kenya was a truly unforgettable experience, thanks in large part to our visit with Crystal. Meeting her and her family was heartwarming; they welcomed us with such kindness and generosity. We had the pleasure of visiting Crystal at St. George’s Primary School, where she excels in her studies. Seeing her enthusiasm and dedication firsthand was incredibly rewarding.

Our time in Kenya was filled with memorable moments. We enjoyed feeding giraffes at the Giraffe Centre, an experience both fun and educational. At Stedmark Garden, we explored a variety of animals from Kenya and beyond, which was both fascinating and enlightening.

One of the highlights was attending the Saturday program with Ngong Road students, where we shared a meal and participated in activities together. This trip not only deepened our appreciation for the impact of sponsorship but also enriched our lives with the warmth and spirit of Kenya. We are grateful for the opportunity to support Crystal and look forward to more experiences like this in the future.

Mildred, An Aspiring Pediatrician

My name is Mildred. I am 15 years old, and my hobby is drawing because it’s an escape from reality, where imagination comes to life. It’s a way to express emotions, pay attention to detail, and find solace in solitude. My favorite sports are volleyball and football.

aspiring pediatrician

I am in Form 1 studying at Kijabe Girls High School. I am currently the class monitor and my work is to maintain order, communicate with teachers, and represent the class. My favorite subjects are Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. because they are fascinated by the natural world and how it works. Exploring biology, chemistry, and physics can provide a deep understanding of the universe, from the smallest cells to the vast cosmos.

I aspire to be a pediatrician because, ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by doctors and how they help people get better. I especially love seeing kids smile and feel better after a visit to the doctor. I want to be a pediatrician to help kids grow healthy and happy, just like my role model, Dr. Benjamin Spock. I’ll be able to teach their parents how to keep them safe and healthy,

I’ve always dreamed of visiting Thailand. The country’s rich culture, stunning beaches, and delicious cuisine have captivated me for years. I’m particularly drawn to the ancient temples and historical sites, which offer a glimpse into Thailand’s fascinating past.

By supporting Ngong Road Children’s Foundation, you’re not just helping an individual; you’re investing in a future leader who will make a positive impact on the world.
