Faith lives in the slums of Kabiria. She lives with both her parents, a twin brother and two other siblings. Faith is in grade four, and her favorite subjects are C.r.e and Math. Her hobbies are reading storybooks and singing. Her favorite food is chips and chicken. Faith and her family live in a double room made from Iron sheets and timber, the living room is furnished with one old couch, table, television, and a plastic chair.
They have to share a bathroom and a pit latrine with several other neighbors in the same rental area. At night Faith and his siblings sleep on a mattress that is spread on the floor while the parents and the lastborn sleep in the other room, which also serves as the kitchen.
When Faith is of age she would like to be a News anchor. Faith enjoys skipping rope and also helps with house chores. Her favorite color is pink. She loves being in school but she is not able to since her parents are not able to consistently keep her and her siblings in school as well as cater to other family needs.
Her father works as a teacher in a primary school in the community while the mother depends on casual labor for survival, the income they get is little to sustain the family. Faith’s parents are hopeful and believe that if she gets the support she will successfully complete her studies and achieve her goals.
