Michelle is hard-working and performs well in school. She is very much a hands-on person and enjoys weaving and tailoring. She hopes to be a medical doctor in the future. It is something she is very vocal about and speaks it often to her mom. Her mom however fears she might not be able to realize her dreams due to the financial incapability of the family to cater for her education. Michelle has been in and out of school due to school fees arrears.
Michelle is a talented runner and takes part in inter-school competitions. Her favorite subject is Home science and she performs really well. At home, she is very responsible and does some house chores to help her mom. In school, she interacts well with others and respects both teachers and students.
She lives with her mother and her 7-year-old sister. The family lives in a small single-room house made of iron sheets. The house is subdivided by curtains and Michelle sleeps on a mattress placed on the floor of the house with her sister.
If Michelle is lucky to join the program, she will join one of our focus schools. She promised to keep on working hard and getting the good grades she has been getting.
