Lucy lives with her mother and elder sister. She loves Education and says she enjoys the following subjects, English, Hygiene, and Arts and Crafts which are apparently her favorite subjects.
Lucy loves drawing, she is passionate about art and craft, and loves being in school, she loves playing ballgames with her friends from school and friends from home. Her favorite food is Rice and Beef. Lucy is a sharp girl who loves being in school but is never in school for a whole term because of school fee arrears. The mother works as a waitress and a cook at a small restaurant in the community, the income got is meager, and unable to sustain her family’s needs as well as cater for the school fees arrears of both her children hence Lucy has been in and out of school. Lucy says her desire is to always be in school so she can always be at par with her studies and later on complete her studies and become the best doctor in Kenya.
They live in a single room made from Iron sheets and timber. The house is furnished with an old seat, a table, and one bed which the three of them share. In one corner of the room is their kitchen area and also the place where they keep their kitchen items.
They share a bathroom and a pit latrine with several other neighbors. Lucy is a bright, well-kept girl whose zeal to thrive is exceptional. “All she needs is support in education, to be in school consistently and for sure she can be the best she desires to be.” These are her mother’s words, hopeful the organization will help her in making sure that her dreams come to be.
