Blessing

Blessing is the last born of her family, she has an elder brother by the name of Sean Blessed. She has been living with her aunt since late last year after the demise of her mother, her father passed away too. Blessing and her aunt live in kabiria, a village in the Dagoretti constituency, while his elder brother lives with another relative.
Blessing has been attending school at Jagiet Academy, she is a bright student with big dreams. However, she is not in a position to be in school consistently due to financial constraints. Her aunt is not permanently employed thus she depends on casual jobs to meet her needs as well as Blessing’s needs. It’s hard for her and Blessing, especially after the adverse effects of covid 19 and the rise in living standards each day. It’s even hard that she has nowhere else to get support.
Blessing and her aunt live in an old single room, made from concrete, timber, and rusty iron sheets. The floor is hard and cold. The house is divided by a curtain where they both sleep behind curtains on a mattress. On the other side of the curtains is a stool placed just after the door. On one corner of the house is their kitchen area, where they have kept the“Koko” gas, a refillable one which they refill after a while, the aunt uses this gas to make their meals.
The house is connected to electricity which the aunt pays via token, however when she is not able to buy the tokens they have to use a candle. They share a toilet and a bathroom with at least 12 other families. The condition they are living in is not a good one, however, they have no choice but to keep up with the situation until things get better.
After Blessing successfully completes her studies, she would love to be a lecturer, she would love to tutor literature and Swahili. Blessings love modeling, fashion, and designing. Apart from being a lover of art, Blessing loves singing and dancing. Her favorite meals are fries and chicken.
