Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day from our students at Ngong Road Children’s Foundation (NRCF). They have a unique perspective on Valentine’s Day. While many see a “big red heart,” our children see something much more practical.

Love is…

  • Books to read and a chance to learn.
  • A safe place to play with friends.
  • People like you who support them every single day.

Through their hand-drawn cards and bright smiles, our students reminded us that love is a verb. It is the action of showing up, providing an education, and building a future together.

Thank You for Your Support

Your generosity is what makes moments like these possible. Because of you, our students don’t just talk about love—they experience it through the resources and community you provide.

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at NRCF. We love you!

Here We Go! Empowering 1,000 Children by 2030

The Ngong Road Children’s Foundation (NRCF) has launched an ambitious mission: to provide education and holistic care to 1,000 children by 2030. Our vision is to eliminate our waiting list, ensuring that every child in our community has a clear path to a brighter future.

This journey is already gaining momentum. For 2026, our goal is to onboard 100 new students, and we are proud to announce that the first 50 children were welcomed this January under our “Here We Go” campaign.

Onboarding is only the beginning. To ensure these children stay in school and truly thrive, sustained support is essential. We invite our community to partner with us through:

  • Sponsorships: Providing the daily essentials for a student’s success.
  • Scholarships: Securing long-term educational opportunities.
  • Donations: Funding the holistic care—including nutrition and social support—that allows a child to focus on their studies.

Together, we can transform lives—one child at a time. Join the “Here We Go” movement and help us reach our 2030 goal.

Alumnus sponsors a child.

Emmanuel Titi always recognized how valuable his education was. With the support of his sponsor behind him, he approached his studies with genuine gratitude and unwavering commitment. Throughout his school years, Emmanuel demonstrated remarkable determination; he didn’t just meet expectations, he exceeded them. Despite the challenges and distractions that came his way, he stayed focused and consistently worked hard.

His journey is a powerful reminder of how meaningful support, paired with a student’s dedication, can open doors to life-changing opportunities. Watching Emmanuel remain true to his dream of completing his education and building a brighter future was truly inspiring. Yet his story didn’t stop once he secured employment. In a heartfelt expression of appreciation and generosity, Emmanuel made a decision that speaks volumes about his character. He chose to become a sponsor himself.

Today, Emmanuel is supporting a child through our organization, offering another young person the same transformative chance he once received. His decision represents a beautiful full-circle moment of kindness. It reflects his deep understanding of how critical that early support was in shaping his own life. Emmanuel has grown from being a success story into a role model, someone who is giving back, lifting others, and ensuring that the cycle of hope and opportunity continues for the next generation.

Kids being kids: Grammar Camp

This 2-minute video almost feels like you rode along with the kids to Grammar Camp — a day at Stedmak Gardens. (“Grammar” in this context refers to the students’ age — 4th – 6th grade)!

Thank you from our team in Kenya

As we head into this week of Thanksgiving in the United States, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be part of this community—spread across continents, connected by a shared belief in the potential of young people in Nairobi.

The video below captures something I saw so clearly when I visited Nairobi: the extraordinary dedication of our team and the real impact your support makes in the lives of students. Our team in Kenya is the heart of our work. They lead our mission and turn your investment into impact every day.

From all of us at Friends of Ngong Road, and especially from our team in Nairobi: thank you for being part of this mission, for believing in our students, and for fueling the realization of potential, both for our students and our work overall.
