  • Home Background Information: Growing up with a single parent in a family of five has not been easy for Mercy and her siblings. After losing her father at a young age, the weight of caring for the family fell on her mother, who works tirelessly to provide for them. Despite her efforts, the income she earns is very little and often cannot cover rent, food, and school fees. The family lives in difficult conditions, sometimes going without meals, and Mercy’s school attendance has been inconsistent because of these financial struggles.
