Maureen Ngetich

Maureen Ngetich

Chief Operating Officer

Maureen Ngetich is the Chief Operating Officer at Ngong Road Children’s Foundation, where she provides operational leadership across governance, procurement, technology, and data protection, while retaining oversight of legal risk as the organisation’s ex officio Board Secretary. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, she brings over seven years of post-admission experience spanning private practice and in-house counsel roles in corporate/commercial, nonprofit, employment, and data protection law.

Maureen joined NRCF in 2023 as Corporate Secretary, building the organisation’s legal and compliance functions. She has led NRCF’s board and committee governance, negotiated and drafted the Data Processing Agreements underpinning cross-border data transfers to the organization’s US affiliate and international donors, and served as primary liaison to Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. She also supported the Karibu Loo Limited, NRCF’s social enterprise affiliate, guiding its board and management through any legal or governance matters.

Maureen holds an LL.B from Strathmore University, completed the Advocates Training Program at the Kenya School of Law, and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.

Maureen is passionate about building institutions that can scale responsibly, pairing rigorous governance with the pragmatism needed to keep a growing organisation moving.

Founded in 2006, Friends of Ngong Road is a nonprofit corporation organized in Minnesota and recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity that works collaboratively with Ngong Road Children's Foundation, a seprate, public benefit organization registered in the Republic of Kenya [Reg. No. OP.218/051/18-048/11237]. This website is operated by Friends of Ngong Road and maintained by Ngong Road Children's Foundation.
