
VP, Growth & Operations
Jill LaLonde is Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Friends of Ngong Road. She brings nearly twenty years of experience helping mission-driven organizations strengthen strategy, operations, governance, and leadership to increase their impact and long-term sustainability.
Throughout her career, Jill has supported organizations across the global development sector from large global programs to community-led nonprofits, helping them strengthen strategy, operations, and long-term results. She is particularly passionate about building strong systems and teams that enable organizations to deliver lasting, locally-led impact.
Previously, Jill served as Executive Director of One Village Partners, where she helped shape the organization’s next chapter, guiding strategic growth while strengthening its operations, governance, fundraising, and cross-cultural leadership. Earlier in her career, she managed USAID-funded programs across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East and conducted Gates Foundation-supported public health research in Northern Uganda. Jill serves as the Global Assembly Chair for the Movement for Community-Led Development and is an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University, where she teaches in the MS Nonprofit Management program.
Jill believes that meaningful change happens when ambitious ideas are paired with thoughtful execution. She is inspired by organizations that invest in local leadership and create opportunities for communities to shape their own futures.
