Muguga Academy for Boys

CS7G0011A-20120314-0002Muguga is a boy’s boarding school which is situated 15 kilometers outside Nairobi.  The facilities are simple but adequate. It is a private school which is very well maintained. It has a very large and leafy campus with classrooms and dormitories of all brick and cement which are kept neat and tidy.  It is also a school that performs well on the secondary school final exams as the school offers a broad range of subjects for the students to take.    While it is a private school where we place the boys who cannot get into better schools, it does deliver a good education and the boys seem to be happy there.  The school has extensive grounds for sports which many of the boys enjoy.

The boys follow a rigorous schedule – up at 5:00 am for washing, studies begin promptly at 5:30 am and continue until breakfast at 7:00 am.  Classes begin at 8:00 am and continue all day with a break for lunch in the dining hall and some sports activities in the afternoon. Dinner in the dining hall and then study time until lights out at 10:30 pm.  Long days!
