The program is a significant source of hope for the children - they are so excited to know that someone in the U.S. cares about them. Their guardians, many of whom are elderly or HIV positive themselves, feel reassured that irrespective of their health situation their child will be supported.
All of our students have written letters to their sponsors, photos have been exchanged and dreams shared. Likewise, we ask sponsors to write to their children.
