Why I Sponsor

The story of how Friends of Ngong Road began is in itself incredible.  After hearing the plight of the children who live in slums in Nairobi, chidlren who have no avenue to improving their lot in life, sponsoring a child was not an option, it was a must.  If that had not convinced me, seeing the gratitude and words of thanks in the letters I received certainly convinced me it was the right thing to do.  However, having had the opportunity to visit homes and families of the students being helped through Friends of Ngong Road, listening to how thankful they are that their child has a chance to move out of poverty, I am more convinced than ever.  Friends of Ngong Road has provided an incredible effective way to do so much with so little.
