Sponsorships

The main focus of Friends of Ngong Road is to recruit sponsors to be paired with children.  We hope to recruit people willing to make a multi-year commitment who will also invest a small amount of time to build a relationship with their child in Kenya.

  • Full Sponsorships for Primary Day School:  $63.00 monthly ($750 annually)
            • A monthly contribution of $63.00 is all that is necessary to fund all the activities of children who attend primary day school.

  • Student-to-Student or Senior Sponsorships for Primary Day School:  $25.00 monthly ($300 annually)
            • Due to a generous donation from a major donor we are able to offer a limited number of people under 25 (or full-time students of any age) and those over 65 years of age a reduced-cost sponsorship.

        • Boarding School Sponsorships for Primary Boarding and all Secondary (High) Schools: $104.00 monthly ($1250.00 annually).

Donations

Sustaining Funds:

  • While most of the per-child costs are covered by the sponsorship fee, the organization in Kenya has other needs that are not covered.  Sustaining funds are used to cover the salaries of the case workers, the cost of running the Nairobi office and library, extraordinary health care for seriously ill children and for the many other challenges that come their way.  Virtually all funds raised are sent directly to Kenya.  Fund-raising activities in the USA are paid for by Board members.  Please use either the credit card or check option above.

Scholarship Funds:

  • Many of our children are benefiting from attending boarding school. This includes our high-potential children and some children who need to be removed from a deteriorating home condition.  All of our secondary students attend boarding school, which is the norm in Kenya.  Boarding school is more expensive than day school and supplemental funds must be found to cover these expenses.  Please use either the credit card or check option above.

Suggested Giving Levels:

  • $50 for Zebra level
  • $100 for Giraffe level
  • $250 for Chettah level
  • $500 for Lion level
